Aviary SolAxe™ GT-801 (Solar Field Edition - Prototype)

Run a Bitaxe 801 directly off a solar panel without indoor AC wall adapters. The Aviary SolAxe™ GT-801 (Solar Field Edition) is built and tested in Elizabeth, Colorado to operate 100% off-grid coupled to a 50W–100W photovoltaic solar panel and a 12V battery buffer.

Silicon & Integrated Power Electronics Built on the open-source **Bitaxe 801** board powered by the Bitmain BM1370 ASIC, the GT-801 houses all off-grid DC power conversion inside the weatherproof enclosure: - **Internal Solar MPPT Controller Board**: Tracks peak panel voltage across variable sunlight and cloud cover. - **High-Efficiency Step-Down Buck Voltage Regulator**: Converts 9V–28V DC solar/battery power down to a steady 5.0V DC under load for the Bitaxe hashboard. - **Integrated Digital LED Voltmeter**: Real-time red three-digit voltage display mounted inside the enclosure for quick bus voltage verification. - **Heavy-Duty XT30 Quick-Disconnect Power Harness**: Custom-spliced 14AWG silicone wiring with solder-sleeve heat-shrink splices and an in-line 5A blade fuse. - **Liquid-Tight PG-13.5 Cable Gland**: Weatherproof exterior cable entry with internal silicone seal.

Ventilated Black PVC Enclosure Housed inside a matte-black PVC junction box measuring **5.9" × 4.3" × 2.8" (150 × 110 × 70 mm)**: - **Active Forced-Air Cooling**: Top-mounted 50mm high-static-pressure cooling fan with stainless steel wire finger guard bolted directly over the extruded aluminum heatsink. - **Positive-Pressure Crossflow Venting**: 55 precision-drilled 3.5mm exhaust ports that shed rain while keeping airflow moving across the VRM inductor and ASIC. - **Field Thermal Performance**: Holds steady ASIC core temperatures between 58°C and 64°C when mounted in the shade beneath a solar panel.

Off-Grid Firmware & Stratum Ready - **Brownout & Low-Voltage Protection**: Configured to step down smoothly during sunset or cloud cover rather than corrupting flash storage with repeated brownout resets. - **Stratum Pool Ready**: Pre-flashed and tested against OCEAN (BOLT12 / Lightning payouts) and Public Pool solo mining.
